First ever Alpe Adria Trial Cup was held last weekend at Austria, near Graz, on Salzstiegl.
Weather had been really nice and the organiser well prepared to show that all riders had been welcome.
Multiple Austrian Champion Marco Mempör showed his class and dropped only one foot on the first day and non on the second day, so he was the unbeaten winner of both days.
Philipp Wimmer, runner up both days, showed his class specially on the second day, he finished his 4th lap of the second day also with no feet on the ground.
On the first day Philipp Neuhäuser could reach his first ever podium in the red line (he is riding the second year at this level), unfortunately he could not hold this level, as he suffered bruised ribs and a dislocated thumb from the previous weekend and dropped to the 5th place on Sunday.
Sebastian Gradischnig had same points as Philipp on the first day, but lost unlucky the podium place as he had less sections finished with zero points, but he showed his class on Sunday and fought back his place on the podium. Newcomer in the red line Simon Hofer, Austrian Champion of the Junior Class 2024 and 2025 could follow the level on Saturday, and was only one point behind, Sunday he got back some energy and could claim the 4th place.
In the Junior Class Marius Spiegel was unbeaten both days, behind him on the first day it was Matthias Schmidt on his Mecatecno electric bike ahead of Lovro Setnikar from Slovenia. He was the only rider from AMZS taking part.
On the second day the result changed as Mattias Schmidt dropped points and lost his second place to Eric Weissensteiner, who was 5th on Saturday, Lovro Stenikar was stable on his 3rd place.
The youth class both days had the same result, Dominik Eder is dominating this class and he won both days ahead of Fabian Heilmann and the only lady Leonie Kremser at this event.
It was a successful event with a good level of sections, nice weather and motivated riders.
Hopefully next year there will be more Fenderation joining this Cup and young riders could challenge their skills with others.
The Trialpark Salzstiegl offered to organise again an Alpe Adria Cup in 2026.
