Scorching temperatures and high-octane racing set the stage for an unforgettable second round of the Alpe Adria International Motorcycle Championship at Hungary’s Pannonia Ring. Sunday brought Race 2 for all categories, delivering a mix of surprises, confirmations, and nail-biting finishes that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Here’s a recap of the action.
SBK/STK1000 – After a record-breaking win in Race 1, Patrick Hobelsberger doubled up with another dominant performance in Superbike, beating Michal Filla and Jan Mohr to the top step of the podium. In Stock 1000, local hero Mate Szamado repeated his success as well, finishing fifth overall and first in class ahead of Marko Jerman and Julius Ilmberger.
SSP300/SPORTBIKE – Daniel Turecek completed a flawless weekend in Supersport 300, claiming another win. Kristof Barta and Vaclav Bittman followed in second and third, while Patrycja Sowa finished fourth overall and first among the WEC riders. In the Sportbike class, Konstantinos Mavropoulos made it two out of two, finishing ahead of Julius Latein and Lukacs Owen. Daniel Graf and Davide Cipolletta rounded out the top five.
SSP600/STK600/600 NG – Mitja Borgelt dominated in Stock 600, finishing ahead of Wiktor Majchcrowski and Enej Logar. Luca Tommasini secured second overall and his second win in the Supersport Next Generation category. In Supersport 600, Daniel Ersek edged out Tomas Svitok for victory, with Alexandros Papageorgiou completing the podium.
CUP 1000/CUP 600 – Vukasin Bajic completed a perfect double in Cup 1000, ahead of Zoltan Aszalon and Miomir Pojic, who narrowly beat Alessandro Spinazzé in a tense duel. The closest finish came in Cup 600, where Akos Kaloczi triumphed over Jindrich Skopek by less than half a second, with Dusan Kovarik in third.
