SLOVAKIA RACING: Basic information for the season 2016
Dear riders & teams
We warmly welcome you to the new racing season of Alpe Adria, CEC 250 Stock and IMRC series, in which we have prepared several important innovations that we gradually want to introduce to you.
The first major change is the calendar, which, this time, includes five events each containing two races waiting, and we have eliminated the event in the Italian Adria, which was for many of you financially difficult.
We have prepared very strong media coverage as well, which means that compared to the 10-minute recordings from last year, which were broadcast only on TV Sport5, this year a half-hour television recording from each event will be made and subsequently broadcast in more than 10 European countries! And for the final event in September in Slovakia Ring we are planning a live television broadcast of the Superbike and Supersport class races.
Another novelty is that we would like to attract more women to the races, as they always enhance our events. We are trying to meet their needs so that they will get a 50-percent discount on the entry fee for our championship events.
You will be informed about this continuously as things unfold, however first we’d like to bring you the basic information for the new racing season. We are publishing this information for all series together, so you can compare and decide which of the series in 2016 you will take part in.
RACING SERIES
ALPE ADRIA CHAMPIONSHIP
as of 2016 is open to competitors from all over Europe who, for the first time, will be able to fight for points in this series. In addition to a Europe-wide ranking, it will be, as it has been till now, ranked in the order of the series within the countries of the Alpine-Adriatic region, namely Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland and San Marino. At the end of the season there will therefore be two rankings, the first pan-European, the second from the Alpe Adria region.
Riders, who will want to fight for points in the national championships, must start in the Alpe Adria championship.
FIM EUROPEAN CENTRAL EUROPE STOCK 250cc 4 stroke CUP
It is designed for competitors between the ages of 12 – 21, and its advantage is its more economical availability in comparison to Moto3 class. Competitors will start on motorcycles with a four-stroke engine. The Central European Cup race will be held as part of the events of the Alpe Adria Road Racing Championship series. Within the five-part series two starts will always be waiting for the riders, which means that the points will be collected together in ten races.
IMRC – INTERNATIONAL MOTORCYCLE RACE CUP
During the racing season 2016 the IMRC series will be the accompanying event of the Alpe Adria Championship. The IMRC is the cup series race in open class -600 and +600, within which riders in addition to the IMRC rankings fight for points for the national cup series:
– Slovak Cup
– Czech Open
– Puchar Polski Rookies
– Any other Cups
In the previous three seasons the series was divided into IMRC MMSR and IMRC Cup, while IMRC MMSR was ridden as a Championship series, while within the Alpe Adria race and the IMRC Cup as the cup series itself. This year’s IMRC series will be held just like the previous IMRC Cup.
Of course, traditionally, we are preparing material and financial rewards for placing in the races, which we will inform you about as soon as we have concluded agreements with our partners.
