Unfortunately bad news from Hungaroring. Immediately after the start of SBK race 2, there was an accident in first turn. Slovenian rider Berto Camlek has passed away after this crash.
All Alpe Adria Road Racing commission members together with all staff from Slovakia Racing and all the people from the paddock express condolences to Camlek family and to all his relatives and friends.
Berto Camlek was born 30th April 1970. He started racing at 1980’s. He participated 8 races in World Superbike Championship, 2 races in 2001, 4 races in 2004 and 2 races in 2006. From the beginning of his career he participates in Alpe Adria Road Racing championship and he was known as warm and nice guy always ready to help. Also he was a several time Alpe Adria Champion.
This is a big loss for AARR and for the motorcycle racing world. We missed him dearly. Berto Camlek R.I.P.
